The Beverly Citizens for Fiscal Responsibility was formed in response to the proposition 2.5 override ballot initiative in June of 2008. The goal of the organization during the override process was to educate voters on the issues, the most important being that overrides are FOREVER. The group has continued as a voice for the taxpayer in city finance issues and to pressure the city council and mayor to provide efficient government.
